Privacy Policy

Plain version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and the only thing we really ask for is your email — and only if you want the digest.

The email digest

When you subscribe to the digest, we store your email address with Resend, the email provider we use to send it, along with the delivery frequency you chose (daily, weekly, or monthly) so we send at the pace you asked for. We don't use it for anything else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and when you unsubscribe we remove you from the list.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are useful — things like page views and referrers. It's cookieless and aggregate: no analytics cookies, no profile of you, and no tracking across other sites. It's privacy-first, and we exclude visitors in the EU entirely. We keep the data minimal.

Affiliate links

Some outbound product links are affiliate links, handled through Sovrn (a link-monetization service, formerly VigLink). When it's enabled, a small script from Sovrn (served from cdn.viglink.com) automatically turns eligible retailer links into affiliate links and records which of those links you click, so a purchase can be credited to us; it contacts Sovrn when the page loads and may set its own cookies. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland that script loads only if you accept the affiliate-link cookies — we ask with a banner, and you can change your choice any time via "Cookie choices" in the footer. Everywhere else it's on by default. Following any product link may also pass you through Sovrn's servers on the way to the retailer, which may set its own cookies under its own policy. Cookies

The site works without an account and shows no ads. We self-host our fonts rather than loading them from a third-party font CDN. Depending on where you are and your choices, the third parties that may run on a page are Cloudflare's cookieless analytics beacon (see Analytics above) and, for affiliate links, Sovrn — which in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland runs only after you accept (see above). We don't add other trackers, and any cookies are limited to those and to what a feature you use strictly needs.

Your choices

• Accept or reject affiliate-link (Sovrn) cookies via "Cookie choices" in the footer — in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland we ask before loading them.
• Unsubscribe from the digest at any time via the link in any email.
• Ask us what we hold about you, or to delete it.
• Use the site without subscribing — no account required.
