Our story

We turned the calendar into a reason to show up.

National Everyday started with a simple, slightly ridiculous idea: what if every single day had something worth celebrating — and someone actually made it easy to find?

Somewhere between a wall calendar, a food blog, and a really good friend who always knows what today is — that's the space we want to live in.

We're a brand-new, independent project with an old-fashioned goal: give every national day a page that's actually worth reading. What it is, where it came from, how to really celebrate it, and — when it fits — a short, honest list of things worth buying. No 40-item slideshows, no filler.

We're publishing in careful batches instead of dumping a thousand thin pages online overnight, because a page is only worth making if it earns its place. We fact-check our dates, we think hard about what's genuinely useful, and we only point you toward gear we'd happily buy ourselves.

Get it right, and National Everyday becomes the friend who already knows that today is National Taco Day — and has texted you the plan.

The mission

How it works

Three steps between you and a better today.

1

We track the calendar

We maintain a growing, verified list of national and international days, cross-checked against primary sources — not the internet's game of telephone.

2

We write the page

Every day gets a real editorial page: the story, the how-to-celebrate, and a tight shortlist of gear or gifts if the day calls for it.

3

You get the nudge

Subscribe to the digest — daily, weekly, or monthly — and never miss the day again. Then go celebrate. That's the whole point.

What we stand for

Our values

Accurate first

If we can't verify a date, it doesn't ship. Dates are the whole job.

Genuinely useful

Fewer, better recommendations. We buy the stuff we suggest.

Honest money

A little joy daily

The world's heavy. A small celebration is a small act of resistance.

Informed, warm, and never taking itself too seriously.

That's the voice. We're the friend who knows that today is National Taco Day and has already texted you the plan.
